What a structural condition survey covers

Foundations (as evidenced by movement), external and internal walls, floors, roof structure, chimneys, lintels and visible drainage, assessed element by element, with defects graded by significance. It’s the survey to commission when you want the complete structural picture rather than an answer to one question: before a major renovation, for an older property, or for ongoing management of a building.
