Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a structural engineer to join our dynamic team. The role will involve carrying out building surveys, preparing detailed structural reports, and supporting wider design and assessment work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake structural inspections and building surveys on residential and commercial properties.
  • Compile professional structural reports with clear indication of the issues and recommendations for the resolution.
  • Assist in the design and assessment of building structures using AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure knowledge is always current with the latest revisions to the building regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or actively working toward chartership (ICE/IStructE).
  • Knowledge of UK construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and own car insured for business use– essential for site work.
  • Professional, proactive, and eager to learn.
